On Friday, April 15th 2016 The Residence at Orchards Walk welcomed over 70 guests to tour the newly opened presentation centre located on Valleyview drive. Guests toured through the 2 on-site show homes and enjoyed a catered lunch prepared by Uptown Chefs and Sweet Spot Cupcakes.

The Residence is a unique mature lifestyles building as part of the Orchards Walk community master plan. Membership at The Residence will offer residents a 1 or 2 bedroom condominium style suite, inclusive services such as dining and housekeeping, access to upscale on-site amenities such as a wine bar and restaurant, putting green, walking circuit, spa salon as well as discounts to local businesses in Kamloops.

Orchards Walk Developer Paul Bouzanis of PBC Group of Companies, Al Jina and Ian West, President and Vice President of Park Place Seniors Living introduced The Residence to the city of Kamloops with a reception and ribbon cutting as an official opening event.

Guests of honour at Friday’s ceremony included BC MLA and Health Minister Terry Lake, MLA and Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Todd Stone, Kamloops Mayor Peter Milobar. Celebrated guests also included Orchards Walk trades people, contractors, project managers and administration.

The Residence also welcomed many individuals from the community including representatives from Kamloops This Week, The Kamloops Chamber of Commerce, and a very special group of people who have already reserved their home at The Residence.

“The Residence at Orchards Walk offers a unique and exciting housing choice for people who no longer want the cost and trouble of maintaining a large property,” said Vice President Ian West.

“By ‘Downsizing UP to extraordinary living’ life will be more affordable and enjoyable. As a member of The Residence they will enjoy the freedom and flexibility that they deserve with amenities and services that fit their needs.”

“This investment in the City of Kamloops and the significant job creation that comes with it is testament to the confidence the company has in the vitality and spirit of cooperation that civic and business leaders have demonstrated in recent years.”
