An upscale building like The Residence at Orchards Walk called for the best in the business, with all of the contractors carefully handpicked by Site Superintedent Darcy Bradford and Master Builder Jere Lorenz.

“It takes highly skilled tradesmen and management to handle a project of this size and complexity,” commented Bradford. “With the help of my Construction Manager Jere Lorenz, the best people were awarded contracts.”

Hiring local when we could was a priority. “We have had over 100 different contractors that have spent 358,625 man hours since September 2015 and over 75% of those hours have been provided by trades and contractors from Kamloops,” said Bradford.

The Residence is the latest phase to be built in the highly sought-after Valleyview neighbourhood in Orchards Walk. Tailored for mature-lifestyles retirement living, The Residence is a new model in all inclusive living offering residents the opportunity to Downsize Up their living space. Among the many services and amenities, members will enjoy weekly housekeeping, dining credits at the in-house restaurant Orchards Grill as well as spacious condominium-style suites available in studio, one or two bedroom floor plans.

“Each unit will have a full-size kitchen, a variety of layouts, top of the line finishing, high ceilings, private decks and great views in all directions. All windows on the Highway end of the building have sound deadening laminated glass, keeping road and railroad noise to a minimum” added Bradford.
